<a href="/find-stores/gerrand-floorings-omanu-3116">Gerrand Floorings</a> recently completed a stunning home on Muricata Avenue in Mount Maunganui. Teaming up with Annique from Gezellig Interiors, they've created an effortlessly stylish interior. 

The design embraces natural materials like timber and wool, giving the space a warm, organic feel. A neutral color palette with hints of aged bronze and rich textures in the decor adds elegance. 

In the kitchen and dining area, <a href="/products/regal-oak?colour=astor">Regal Oak Timber Distressed Plank in Astor 560</a> by Godfrey Hirst was used for the flooring. This choice beautifully complements the kitchen cabinetry, with its soft, natural tones matching the brass handles and crisp white walls and benchtop.

It is a completely finished product down to the many layers of polyurethane, and it can be installed in a day compared with solid timber which can take months. 
  
Some people are surprised to learn that engineered timber really is timber. The top layer is real European oak which has been sustainably forested and harvested. Every plank is covered in Wearguard®, a hardy seven-coat polyurethane system that protects it from everyday wear and tear. Choosing engineered timber flooring over solid timber isn’t a compromise; in fact, in many ways it’s a better option.
